Stamp pads with felt pads are especially suitable for pigmented stamping inks. These inks must be sufficiently shaken before use to ensure sedimented pigments are transferred into the pad.

A separator layer makes the felt inserts reversible. To prevent ink overflow, only a small amount of liquid should be applied and worked into the felt with a glass rod, cork, or paper. Excessive inking can lead to blurry prints and extended drying times.
